Crafting with Elder Wood! 

Our brilliant Year 2s with the help of our Year 6 assistants were true craftspeople at Forest School this week! They used hacksaws (safely, of course!) to saw pieces of elder wood and then carefully employed palm drills to remove the soft pith and create holes. The final result? Beautiful, handmade wooden beads for a necklace! This activity isn't just about crafting; it's about developing patience, fine motor skills, and learning to safely use real tools. We're so proud of their focus and creativity! Also a great big Thank You to our amazing Year 6 Helpers this week!
