Forest School Update

Master Breadmakers in the Making!

This week in Forest School, our young explorers took their outdoor skills to another level! We swapped the classroom for the campfire and learned the ancient art of "stick bread."

The children rolled up their sleeves and got their hands messy kneading the dough, rolling it out into long "snakes," and carefully twisting it around freshly sourced greenwood sticks.

What did we learn around the fire today?

  • Fine Motor Skills: Kneading, rolling, and twisting dough is a fantastic workout for little hands.

  • Patience & Safety: Cooking over the hot embers takes real concentration and respect for the campfire.

  • The Best Part: Enjoying the delicious, warm breads of our labor with generous helpings of butter or garlic butter!

A huge well done to our outdoor chefs for their incredible teamwork and focus. We can't wait to see what they cook up next!
