Forest School Update
Forest School Update: Move over screen time—we’re making sparks fly!
Our young adventurers had an absolutely incredible week at Forest School, swapping computer games for real-world survival skills, creativity, and plenty of mud! Here’s a peek at what we got up to:
Mastering the Flame: The big challenge this week was learning to use a flint and steel. Watching the children’s focus turn into pure excitement when their cotton wool balls caught fire was magical. Dojos to everyone for showing amazing patience and perseverance!
Mud, Glorious Mud: With the warm afternoon sunshine, the cool mud in the digging hole was irresistible! We also got wonderfully messy crafting with clay and inventing new team games under the canopy of the trees.
The Swing Upgrade: Huge thanks to Mr. Kemp and Kayden from Leopard Class, who teamed up to upgrade one of our Forest School swings. It officially passed the whole-class fun test with flying colors!
EYFS Stay & Play: On Thursday, we welcomed our youngest learners and their grown-ups into the woods. Together, they explored mud painting, leaf rubbing, and clay modeling, before wrapping up a perfect afternoon with gooey s'mores and warm hot chocolate.
We are so proud of how our children connect with nature, take risks, and work together every single week.
