The idea of the communities is to promote teamwork and community spirit through friendly competition where children can earn merits for their community by way of rewards in class, pe competitions, and sports day race placings etc.

Membership of a community will encourage the loyalty which grows from security within a close-knit group of a manageable size.

Although each community has its own individual character, there is an even spread of ages, abilities and talents within them so that each community represents a fair cross-section of the whole school. 

In the future we are looking at having community days in school where children will be able to mix with other children from their community for themed days.

We are confident that the children will thoroughly enjoy being part of their new community and we look forward to sharing their success stories with you throughout the academic year.
