Year 4, Term 2 Update
Year 4 have been thoroughly enjoying learning about how the Anglo Saxons helped to shape modern Britain. We have looked at how Britain changed after the fall of the Roman empire and how things changed with the rise of the Anglo-Saxons.
In English, we have been reading the Anglo Saxon Boy and the story of Beowulf to help influence our writing topics. We have written an information text on the Battle of Hastings and also a diary entry from the view of Beowulf.
In maths this term, there has been a focus on times tables, trying to explain how the times tables function and why they work.
In science we have been investigating light, learning about light sources, how it travels, how it reflects off of surfaces and how shadows are made.
