Year 3 - Welcome back to Term6
Year 3 has had an excellent start to Term 6.
They began their week by being introduced to their new historical focus of The Romans. Through their English lessons, the children have learnt all about Roman Gods and how closely they are linked to Greek Gods. We were very impressed that they could remember the importance of the Egyptian Gods from Term 1!
Within English, the children will be designing and creating their own Roman God, who will appear in their own version of a Roman Myth.
During our Maths lessons, the children have been learning all about time. They have impressed us with their understanding of o clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to. They are now going to develop their learning further by learning about minute intervals and Roman Numerals.
We were very lucky to take part in a circus workshop over our first week. All classes participated in a circus skills workshop and were fascinated by Paul’s (The Circus Performer) brilliant skills - the teacher’s were too!
The children were able to practise their own skills using his circus apparatus.
