Elephant Class had the first of their 3 surprise visitors this term! It was a blast from the past but Christopher Columbus called the class and the children had a wonderful conversation with him.

Famed for his adventures finding new lands by sea, Christopher Columbus was a sailing extraordinaire! Although his most famous quest to 'go East' to Asia saw him arrive in the Caribbean! He taught us all the important phrases to become sailors and we were even able to ask some questions before he went such as;

‘Were you liked as a captain?’, ‘How old are you?’ and ‘How did sawdust taste when you ran out of food?’.
